Jon Selig's Senior Thesis
What will the future be like?
The future will be really sweet. The world will have straightened out most of its problems or at least be on its way in a lot of them. All the kids in high school now will have gone on to develop cool things like electric cars and ways of distributing nutritious food to all the starving people of Africa. Nuclear proliferation will have ended and no one will have any bombs any more. Saddam Hussein will be dead and long gone. George Bush will be dead and long gone. Both of the nations that they lead will have some good people leading them.
I can’t possibly describe how cool it will be. Waterslides will be everywhere. The air will be clean. People will be healthy and happy and allowed to play as much badminton as they want. People will have no reason to hate each other because people will realize that cooperation is so much better.
The people that were terrorists and extreme fundamentalists will realize that they can’t please everyone and stop trying to prove themselves with death.
The rock and roll music will be out of this world and people will be partying all the time, safely, and soundly. The world will be more ethical too. Things like pornography and murder and rape will be forgotten because no one will want to do it anymore.
Technology will be really cool with stuff like hoverboards and cold fusion will be everywhere. There won’t be a danger of meltdown or explosions or anything. Factories will be really efficient and only produce cool things. Computers will control enough stuff that they won’t be able to take over our brains. Shortbread will be grown from trees.
No one will have to worry about money because it won’t be allowed. If people want something they can have it as long as they can earn it and its not illegal. The government will still exist and their will still be laws. There will still be all the stuff like the FBI and CIA making sure that everything goes right. There will still be jail for people that do bad things but it won’t be as common since money isn’t allowed.
I’m looking forward to the future. I will start working on some good things now and by then life will be really cool. This is my sophomoric vision of the future but sometimes if you concentrate on being good and true about life, good stuff happens.
