08/04/2005: 'UConn Retort.'
Hello warriors. Just got back from being on the road. Empowering and enlightening things occurred this past weekend. I spoke at the Leadership Institute for my friend Dan Flynn (buy his books -- they are GREAT reads destined to be collector's items one day) to a young Conservatives group he had in town for a weekend of training. Spoke at George Washington University on Monday to a small group of young thinkers. And I spoke to at The University of Connecticut for the College Republicans.
You’ve heard the most about the last event. Let me respond in brief here about it. I have many projects to attend to now that I am back in NM. My time, and mostly my patience about this UConn event specifically, is limited.
Here is a formal press release: UConn Press Release. This was sent out by Mr. Chris Lewis. This clearly and accurately reflects my thoughts on the entire situation. Mr. Lewis works for and with me. He came on board with Project Warrior a few months ago to help me expand and bring about the fruition of my long-worked-on goals. He has not yet been formally introduced. In a couple of days this will be happening at the site. You can find out more about both him and the nature of his involvement with Project Warrior at that time.
A couple more words about the UConn event, and then I must be done with it. If you would like fuller details of what went down, look around, there are several accounts - from different perspectives - available out there on the Internet. Many who know about the event have written or called and offered their apologies for what transpired at the University of Connecticut - as if I must be bummed about it all. I appreciate the concerns - I know they are genuine. But I must tell you, concerns such as these are not necessary. Frankly, what happened is incredibly inspiring to me. And it all only affirms for me that my goals are steadily being realized.
I do, though, want to extend an extra huge thanks for all the positive, thinking emails - the tons of them. I read them all, but just do not have the time to respond to everyone. Thanks again.
I expected the behavior of the liberals. They were, this time, unusually animated but I thought that was great. It didn’t become the fisticuffs I have often hoped for, but maybe next time. Hey, forgive me - I’m a romantic at heart and enjoy nothing like a good fight to bring out the love... Then again, there’s nothing quite like the look in the eye of a radical liberal when he knows his bullshit isn’t stirring up any fear in the person he’s directing it toward. When you witness that realization happening, it’s like seeing Velveeta melt. Maybe it's just that they know that if they throw something at me - whether pies or punches - there’ll be no running except in the direction to catch and pummel their ass myself. Be forewarned liberals -- I don’t know how to pull any punch, physically or intellectually. Of course, in the interest of full disclosure, I say this part facetiously, part seriously-- but it’s up to you, squirrel nuts, to figure out to which side the scale leans more.
At UConn, what really drove them over the top even more was that I kept my sense of humor about it, went toe to toe with their disrespect, and kept right on giving my speech. A little advice -- don’t try to out-diss or talk over a guy who’s skilled in doing pro-wrestling promos, especially after he grabs a mike to get the job done even better. And, look, if you expect a guy who’s swam the back-biting, shark-infested waters of pro-wrestling to cower and run for cover just because of some obnoxious personal slights, well, you are just wasting your time. My skin is thin and the meat of my body thick, and my self-confidence runs deep -- real deep. That said, I’m glad those numbnuts showed up. You made for some silly moments and, apparently, it has
come to my attention, have bigger nads than the "Republicans" - or, more accurately, RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) - that brought me in. More on that -- oh, yes, more -- in a minute.
You were feisty. Irrationally so, but feisty. And all that was not in vain. Come on, admit it. You left knowing that you need people like me, people who draw an objective moral line between rightand wrong, true and false, good and evil, so that you can go right along and misbehave knowing someone responsible will be there to pick up the broken pieces of your life after you’ve squandered all your chances. Lucky you - even some of those you hate will be the superglue to sustain your existence.
Me? I figure what has been willfully and purposely broken over and over, time and time again, maybe needs to be allowed to crush itself into dust so that it can blow away and not have to be dealt with anymore. Imagine that: Life -- something each of us is given the tools to keep together.
As for the College Republicans who brought me in, well, I can only tell you that I have an apology to make. I apologize for having just gotten over a small cold as I came on your campus and that I was not capable of smelling your rudeness and cowardice out so that I could have taken you to task for your hypocrisy, phoniness and disrespect in person - right there - to set an even more incredible example of leadership and principled behavior. Ask the Ohio University crowd what happened when the Second Amendment Club President didn’t know The Second Amendment when I called on him during my speech to recite it.
For your youthful ignorance, I forgive you. These are, after all, 21st century times and you are fat and superficially happy. All the comforts and conveniences have made you pudgy and lethargic and your self-esteem counterfeit. You don’t have the drive or discipline to make the effort to learn about the really GREAT sacrifices others have made just so you can be fat and superficially happy. Nobody’s teaching you. Poor babies. Different than the goal I stated I was there to achieve -- "My primary goal this evening is to mentor you, not be your friend" -- other adults have let you down and they may be foremostly to blame. Poor excuse, yes, but you will find a way to use it. I mean, how are you supposed to have any integrity, character or backbone - the morals and virtues our Founders told us we must have to 'keep the Republic' - if you’ve been influenced by adults who have none? Just being a member of the club was always enough for them to have an exaggerated perception about their own greatness, so why wouldn’t it work for you? Just join the club -- be great.
It’s funny how you could find the words to distance yourselves from the truths I was unafraid to tell, but could not find any words - not one - to tell about the indecent, moronic, and uncivil acts of those who were present who literally threaten the sanity and lawfulness of this world. Every single word you wrote and each silent implication you made said nothing less than that you were unoffended and OK with your opponents' exercise of their First Amendment rights, but offended by mine simply because I put them down bluntly and without politcal correctness. Like when the queer had to violently make the point over and over, screaming at the top of his lungs, that he wanted to be able to publicly tongue-kiss (just for starters) his boyfriend and not feel like the world was intolerantof it. Like when the liberal wanted to disrupt the whole event by ridiculously attempting to make his point that when he was born there was no responsibility on anybody’s part -- that his right to life came with no responsibility. (No wonder he’s continued that trainwreck of a thought throughout his life -- since his birth he’s bought into it!) Like when the guy wanted to make his point thatqueering was as legitimate as heterosexuality by asking me to concede that if I had my own penis cut off it would not mean that I was illegitimate (what the hell sort of argument is that, anyway?). Like when I asked who knew of a right that they could get, have or acquire that did not come with a responsibility and the dopey, red-eyed liberal kid said “Water.” Like when the other dopey, red-eyed liberal who sat all night long wallowing in her own piteous, bird-dropping thoughts until the subject of God came up and she just couldn’t control herself any longer and orgasmically screamed out: I DON'T BELIEVE IN GOD!! (And neither, honey, does He likely believe in the human catastrophe you’ve turned out to be.) Like all the childish screaming and angry, bigot-laden epithets hurled my way. Like all the anarchic, degenerate heckling in futile attempts to make me stop speaking the truth. Like all the subversive planning that was obviously done in an attempt to sabotage the event.
You seem to think (using the word loosely here) that there can be a debate with those who don’t use reason, rationality, and will not use, recognize and accept reality and truth. Neverminding in the first place, that I didn’t come in to debate, I came into declare. Lay down in bold, blunt terms what my Conservative beliefs are and where I will stand, without hesitation, stumble or waver, in presenting them or protecting them. Five minutes at my web presence reading a few paragraphs or reading through even my publicly-given Conservative speeches would have made that clear. I hide nothing from anybody, and certainly hid nothing from you. You simply fell for the tomfoolery of your own grotesquely-inflated, fake selves. What, like my principles would take a backseat to your College Republican club etiquette?
You likely won't get this little piece of plain talk, but the coarse, rowdy quality of speaking events, debate forums and the like today is a direct result of your RINO-in-kind's passive, capitulating and intellectually boring approach. You beget it. Not I or people like me. Every little whiny compromise along the way you gave into. Each time the radical, liberal crybabies screamed you stuck the pacifying teat in their mouth. They didn't grow up to accept the harsh realities of life: that you don't always get your way, and you won't always like the hand that life deals you. You and your kind figured it would just be easier to act the surrogate mommies and daddies, make nice, be pleasant, create dependency. Have a Coke and a frigging smile. All us uncouth, lesser folk have followed your polished, snobbish lead long enough. You’ve accomplished nothing more than ruining what principles truly are. Your haughty, blue-blood manners and customs have done nothing but contribute to the overall compromise of our country. Frankly, for all the fancy perfumes you use, you simply stunk up the place.
You seem to think (again, using the concept loosely here) that when others cease behaving like the rational animals they are and begin irrationally assaulting you that it is best to try and reason with them. That really works. Ask the guy who tried to do that with the chimpanzees last month. His wife told us that even while he was viciously attacked he tried to reason with the beasts that were having him for a snack. Maybe though it’s just that he made the mistake of bringing just one cupcake instead of three. Ask him where his face, foot and testicles are. That example too radical for you? The light bulb didn’t go on? You don’t get that a human being dismissing their rationality is no less than a monkey? Then why don’t you go read some of American History you claim to be so fond of to find out what the Founding People did when they were faced with the same rude and disrepectful irrationality and unreason? Don’t want to? Why? Because it will expose you for the weak, timid, gutless yellowbellies that you are? Why, because you’ll find out the truth of the matter, that you can be all prim, proper, phony and pontificating directly because stronger and grittier men and women before you have gotten down and dirty and bled for your freedom to be nothing but? Your silly, unserious lives can be what they are because there are some who, when punched, take it seriously - and throw harder punches back.
Yes, your youthful ignorance I can forgive. But your disrespect is something else. A something else I cannot passively tolerate.
Just who, Mike, were you referring to when you were quoting Thomas Jefferson: “the tree of liberty must be renewed by the blood of patriots”? When you were talking toughly about your activism, describing to me apparently where you drew your own line in the fight. Surely you weren’t referring to yourself and your own College Republican buddies, were you? Surely not, it seems now. It had to have been someone else with a real, blood-pumping heart nourishing real, patriotic guts. I wish I could have met him...and a few of his buddies.
And Emily Salisbury. Why the feigned innocence and proper and demure demeanor as if you hold so high and reverently true femininity and traditional Conservative principles? Why, when you so easily bed yourself with those who would savagely, in Genghis Khan fashion, laugh while “lying upon your lily white belly” raping you and the quality of your future family’s life? What is it about history you don’t quite understand Ms. Young College Republican? What is it exactly you don’t get about that today’s liberalism is simply a euphemism for all the other historically failed “isms’ -- Stalinism, Communism, Marxism, Socialism -- of the past? What is you know that you can enlighten me about on how to negotiate with tyranny and dictators and win? Please tell us. I'm not the only one who'd like to know. What is it you don’t get about that colonial women had bigger balls than today’s men and they fought like wild, ferociously-clawing tigers capitulating nothing to the murderers who raped them while their children were made to watch, just before they all died slow, humiliating deaths? Oh, that’s right -- you don’t know. No one told you those stories and you haven’t made the time to find out for yourself. But you are a member of the club. That’s what makes you great. Which rationalization will you choose to use, Emily, to explain your selling out so cheaply: back then there wasn’t political correctness and the uncomfortableness of dealing with it, or back then women didn’t have the same rights as I do today to have to contend with the greater responsibilities?
Either one is nothing less than prostitution: “To sell oneself for an unworthy purpose.”
Explain for me if you will, young College Republicans, how you square your applause and praise at the event, a 45 minute ride together back to the airport having a mature, engaging discussion, and further praise, handshakes, and appreciation for coming with an absolute denouncement of my appearance and the things I said? Not even reality TV is this well-crafted. Funny, I don't recall any of you telling me you were drama majors. Then again - recalling events correctly isn't what this is about.
Must have been that damn cold. But let me ask -- which do I believe, the hallucinations I must have had or the press releases? That damn cold must have effected my hearing, too. Because I didn’t hear any of you when you stepped forward with your convictions, candor, and College Republican bravery to tell me that you intended to do what you disrespectfully did. I know, I know. You’ll fall back on the worn out mischaracterizations -- you were afraid I would beat you up. Maybe you were speaking in silent codes like the liberal saboteurs, and I just didn’t catch the message.
Sure, the liberals were idiots, but you are craven cowards. You are young and not even full of youth’s natural piss and vinegar - only of your phony, superficial selves. Truth is, you stand for nothing, and resist absolutely none laying down to be violated and beaten by others.
I am a gracious man, though. And, also, I knew from the beginning that mentoring unexercised asses and young, soft minds would not be easy. So, let me offer you another chance. You claim to know Conservative values and ideas, then teach me. I offer you the challenge to debate -- with you College Republicans. I will return to your college campus at my own expense.
You choose your leader to face me and I will lead myself. We will see who knows Conservative ideals and values and traditions. Step away from your invertebrate shells and use your disagreements with me and let us work together to find out what brand of Conservatism young people want in these modern times: your piecemeal, milquetoast version or a Warrior one.
Warrior
I wanna see Scooter Debate Warrior.
Warrior: Queering the nation won't solve anything
Scooter: You're stupid
Warrior: You're just living a liberal lie, so stop being a bigot
Scooter: You're stupid
