A pair of flying underpants caused a major crash on a German motorway.


The briefs were thrown out of a van by a naked man - and landed on a driver's face, blocking his view.

He skidded and rammed a truck travelling in front of him.

Police said the pants had been thrown from a van by a group of naked men.

"The underpants landed on the driver's face, causing him to ram the truck ahead from behind," said the spokesman.

It is not known why the men were naked.

But police are hunting the culprit for not stopping at the scene of an accident.
